The Quayside Restaurant opened in 1999 and is housed in one of Whitby's oldest buildings. Built back in the 1820s as Whitby's Bath house, Museum and Library, the building has had several other uses since the early 1900s including shops and a photographic studio, and during the war the troops were fed on the ground floor before dancing on the first floor. The first floor is now home to Whitby's original cocktail bar: "Bar 7"

The author, Bram Stoker carried out some of the research for his novel Dracula in this building.

The Fusco's took over the building in 1999.

A complete refurbishment of the restaurant took place complete with structural alterations, a new pan range and new equipment the following year.
